A blessed month.

Greetings from Cambodia.

We know this newsletter is coming a bit late. Things have been busy around here with the move of the new clinic and a team retreat/family vacation for 5 days to the beach. During that time we prayed about what God’s will was for us over the next 2 to 5 years. We were thankful for the confirmation that we are where God wants us.

Part of our Pioneers Team plan includes roles for contributing to Mercy Medical Center, which reads, “Because the ministry of MMC is a broad team effort, acceptable roles at MMC may include any of the following activities/jobs: 1) clinical work; 2) education or discipleship of staff; 3) participation in spiritual impact and follow-up, such as through community health evangelism; 4) administrative or other support roles.” We are thankful that both Nary and I fit into these descriptions.

An urgent prayer request is for Rebekah, who just turned 10 months old on Sunday and has been walking up a storm for the last month. On Thursday night she had an 8 to 10 minute seizure. We rushed her to the American Clinic and they gave her medication. Before the seizure she was asymptomatic with no fever and no issues. So we are now monitoring her. She has had a mild fever around 38 degrees since the episode, but thanks be to God, no more seizures. Please pray for God’s healing. It was a scary moment for us as parents.

To wrap up we have posted a lot of photos on Facebook, if you do not have a Facebook account, you can still see the photos by clinking on the below links.

October Update

Greetings to all,

As we send this update out we are reminded that there are only 62 days left to the date of our tickets for departure. We are aware though, that we will only be departing if our Monthly support has been raised.  As mentioned before our budget is cut roughly in half, we have a personal expense and ministry expense budget. Once again we are so thankful that our personal expense needs have been met, and now we trust and prayer that our monthly Ministry expenses will be met also. We are currently at 54% of our total budget, needing another $2417.09 per month. The easiest way to give monthly is through Pioneers EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) option which can be sent in now but then started for December or January, which ever you desire.  For us to depart on December 30th, monthly pledges need to be into Pioneers Canada or Pioneers USA by the first week of December. May the Lord lead and help us to rest in Him.  It has been a blessing to gather and to focus in prayer on Thursday’s for whatever the Lord’s wills in our lives and in ministry. Thank you for your support.

Prayer Request to Prayer Partners

Dear Prayer Partners.

Our time in Canada has been rewarding and refreshing but busy. We are thankful for the many opportunities we have had to share about our last two years in Cambodia. At this time we are seeking your personal prayer support towards us.

As you may be aware we are back in Canada at this time mainly to raise our monthly. Since arriving in Canada, our monthly support went down and has also slightly increased. At this point we need to see another $2044.00 come in on a month base to be operating at 100% of our monthly budget, as well as being able to return to Cambodia on December 30th. So we are asking for our prayer supporters to join us in prayer over the next few months. Lord willing, all funds will be received by December so that our last month in Canada will be a time to relax and be with family and friends. Thanks for your prayers in this area.

Another part of our support raising is for a onetime departure/set up need, of $18480.00. We have been blessed to see over $1055.00 come in since August 28th. So we continue to trust and ask for God to provide this one time need. We appreciate all your prayers in this area as well.

Finally financially, the third part of our time in Canada, is to raise funds for the Mercy Medical Center new building funds. To date $465,000 has been donated out of the $1.2 Million Projects. As Mercy Medical Center workers we are trusting and praying for God to provide all funds needed to complete the building project, Lord willing, by January. As of September 30, 2010, all current funds will have been used up. So at this point we are asking for $81500 to be donated by September 30, so that the roof and walls of the new building can be completed. Donations can be given securely online at www.mercymedcambodia.org Please join us in prayer for this need.

Thank you again for your faithful prayer support over the years. It has been a great joy and honour to have your partnership with us in prayers. Thank you and may God’s riches blessings be upon you.

In Him,
Matthew and Nary McCullough

Hello world!

Well, I have never done this before so we will see how it goes. God is good. We have just finished the day in Toronto with the Cambodian Fellowship. Sharing and preaching the Word of God has been a honour and blessings that most days I feel very undeserved. Nary preached the message in the main service and did a really great job. We have been blessed over the past couple weeks being back in Canada, emotionally, spiritually and physically. We have seen financial support come in for our previous ministry expenses reports through Pioneers. To date only needing to see another $3300.00 to come in through Pioneers to be completely paid back. We praise God for the hospitality we are being shown here in Toronto. It has been a blessed two weeks. Please continue to pray for the Cambodian Youth and Young Adults in Canada. Blessings to you all.
