Greetings in Christ,

Hello we are Matthew & Nary McCullough (daughters Miriam, Rachel, and Rebekah). We are missionaries with Pioneers Canada; a church planting organization based out of Dorchester, Ontario. We are based in Cambodia on the Mercy Medical Center Pioneers Maytaa Cp Team.

Pioneers was founded in 1976 by Ted Fletcher and his wife Peggy with the backing of their local Church. The first Pioneer missionaries were sent out in 1979 to Nigeria and then in 1980 a team went to Papua New Guinea. In 2005, Pioneers had over 1100 missionaries serving in 68 countries around the world.

Can you envision a land where the HIV pandemic is killing thousands? Numerous factors render Cambodia particularly vulnerable to HIV/AIDS. These include a legacy of genocide, civil war, and famine. In tandem with persistent poverty and political turmoil, this scenario has reduced the once renowned “Pearl of Asia” to become one of the poorest countries in the world.

We want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity God has presented to us. Under the direction of Pioneers and Mercy Medical Center Cambodia, we will enable and equip Cambodians in evangelism, church planting and pastoral ministry. Our ministry style is simple. We walk alongside, witness and lead the Cambodian people to Christ. Discipleship and training follow next. Our passion is to see Cambodians worship our Lord Jesus.

We cannot accomplish this task alone, so please join us with your prayers. We are praying specifically that we would be given boldness in sharing God’s Word, and that
we will meet people prepared to hear the Gospel and who will become leaders.
